Shipping & Warranty

This policy governs the delivery of your purchased items, procedures for handling transit damages, and the limited warranty offered on our products.

I. Shipping Terms and Cost

  • Shipping Arrangement: Eclectic Scape coordinates all logistics and shipping from our partner designers/artisans to your specified delivery address.

  • Cost Calculation: Shipping and insurance fees are calculated based on the item's dimensions, weight, and destination, and are added to your order total at checkout.

II. Duties, Taxes, and Customs (DDU)

All international shipments are delivered under Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) terms.

  • Customs Responsibility: The shipping cost paid to Eclectic Scape does not include any Import Duties, Value Added Tax (VAT/GST), or customs clearance fees applicable in the destination country.

  • Buyer Obligation: The buyer is fully responsible for paying all applicable Import Duties, Taxes, and customs fees required by their country’s customs office. These fees will be billed directly to you by the courier or a customs broker upon arrival.

III. Damage Claims and Inspection Procedure (CRITICAL)

All shipments are fully insured against transit damage. However, strict procedures must be followed to file a successful claim:

  1. Immediate Inspection: The recipient must thoroughly inspect the packaging and the item before signing the courier’s delivery receipt.

  2. Noting Damage: If the packaging or item shows any visible sign of damage, you must clearly note the damage on the courier’s delivery receipt. Failure to note damage on the receipt may void the insurance claim.

  3. Filing a Claim: You must notify Eclectic Scape via email within 48 hours of receiving the damaged item.

  4. Required Documentation: Your email must include photographs of the damaged item, the external packaging, and the signed delivery receipt noting the damage.

IV. Lead Times

  • Production: Typically 6–10 weeks for custom orders; 2–4 weeks for ready-made items. - depending on the designers too.

  • Transit: Varies by destination (typically 1–4 weeks after production). The estimated delivery date (ETA) will be confirmed upon order placement.

V. Warranty

All pieces carry a limited warranty against manufacturing defects for 12 months from the date of delivery. This warranty excludes normal wear and tear, accidental damage, damage resulting from improper use or cleaning, and damage incurred during transit if not reported according to Section III above.
